Shatha Baydoun

With 20 years in higher education—including 15 as a history professor supporting first-gen, veteran, and nontraditional students—I now apply that experience to my work as an academic librarian, fostering student success and creating inclusive learning spaces. My research focuses on trauma-informed practices, AI in teaching and learning, and ensuring that library collections represent diverse perspectives through graphic novels and zine collection. Through multidisciplinary projects and programming, I have also worked with faculty on AI literacy programming at Case Western Reserve University and establishing a new Native American and Global Indigenous Studies program at the University of Miami.
